**App by Envisage Apps.** An in-house product, on iOS and Android.

DayNinja is a Pomodoro timer. You block out the day as coloured time rather than a to-do list, run 25-minute focus sessions against those blocks, and at the end you get a donut chart splitting the day by task type — 7h 4min, broken down by where it actually went.

## What it does

- 25-minute focus timer, with daily focused-work and break totals
- The day planned as colour-blocked time, not a checklist
- A breakdown of hours by task type once the day is done
- iOS and Android

## Why it looks like this

A focus timer has to be startable in the ten seconds before you begin working, or you never start it. That ruled out most of what would have made it a better demo: no project hierarchy, no tagging, nothing to configure before the first session runs.

Based on [the Pomodoro Technique](https://francescocirillo.com/products/the-pomodoro-technique) by Francesco Cirillo. An in-house product, which is also where we tested the [App Concept Canvas](/plan-app-canvas/) before giving it away. More builds in the [portfolio](/case-studies-app-development/).
