## Opportunity knocks

Disrupt or be disrupted.

## From app development to intelligent systems

What we do

We build it, take it through review, and keep it running afterwards — the same Brisbane team on all of it, rather than a handoff at each stage. The last part is where most of the work turns out to be.

### Mobile & Web Platforms

Scalable products for startups and growing businesses, built native where native matters.

- Native iOS and Android — Swift and Kotlin, not a wrapper
- Tested on real devices, not simulators
- Offline, push, deep links, in-app purchase with server-side receipt validation
- Shipped from your developer account, never ours

### [AI Agents & Automation](/ai-agent-developer-brisbane/)

Agents that reason, act and integrate with your systems — not scripted chatbots that only reply.

- Agents that act, not chatbots that reply
- MCP servers and tool integration
- Wired into CRM, booking systems, databases and APIs
- Persistent context across sessions
- Handoff to a human when the agent should stop

![A phone showing the Green Habit chatbot conversation, with the agent setting a daily habit check-in time.](/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Artboard-Greenhabit-1200x800-1.png)

### [Launch Gates](/launch-gate-audit/)

The three barriers a coding tool cannot get you past: store review, security audit, and Australian regulation.

- App Store review — 4.2, 2.5.2, 5.1.1, and Play's 12-tester wall
- Security audit and enterprise security questionnaires
- Australian regulation — which of TGA, Privacy Act, CDR, age assurance and WCAG 2.2 AA you are bound by
- Fixed price, five business days

### Built to keep shipping

Software outlives the project that built it. We are still here when the OS changes and the compliance renews.

- Every September's iOS release, handled before it breaks anything
- Target API level bumps before Play enforces them
- Regulatory watch on the rules your app is bound by
- 25 years of it — many first clients are still running software we built

## The Founders' Desk

Nathan has been shipping software since 2001; Marisol runs delivery and growth. We are engineers, designers and operators in the same room, and we have sat on both sides of a raise — so the work includes the business model, not only the build.

### Nathan Challen — technology director

Nathan has been writing software for money since 2001, and has shipped 30+ platforms across mobile and SaaS. He has founded startups of his own and raised for them, which is why the first call is usually about your business model before it is about your stack.

### Marisol Challen — operations

Marisol runs operations, delivery and growth across every build. She has co-founded startups of her own, so she has been on both sides of a delivery date.

> — Rod Attrill, General Manager Banking and Innovation | Compare the Market Australia.

> I was running my business with a mix of fitness apps and tracking tools. Data handling was messy and time consuming. Envisage Apps helped refine my vision for a single app into an affordable and actionable MVP. As NuStrength grows and we learn what features in the app bring the most value to our users in the fitness industry, Envisage has now built the public consumer native version of the app for us. The new app looks incredible!
>
> — Craig McDonald, Director & Founder | NuStrength

> Nathan and Marisol of Envisage Apps were terrific to work with. We presented them with a rather unique and specialised concept in commodity trading, and they quickly grasped its intricacies and developed a product with which we were very happy. The after-sales services that they also provide is exceptional. Despite our significant knowledge gap in this domain, Nathan, Marisol and the entire Envisage team guided us comprehensively through the entire process. I unreservedly recommend their service.

> We turned to Envisage Apps when we became dissatisfied with our existing developer. Envisage brought a new UX, rewrote the app and brought us a new business model. Envisage is not just a development company but also provided innovation and knowledge from both technology and startup business know-how.

## How we build

We’ve built startups ourselves, not only for clients, so the first conversation is usually about your business model rather than your stack. Investor expectations are a different set of questions from user ones, and both get asked here.

We build AI in from the start rather than bolting it on later. Not because it is fashionable — because retrofitting it means rewriting the data model, and that is the expensive kind of rewrite.

## What that looks like on a project

### 1. Opportunity Mapping

Sometimes software doesn't pay here. We say so before you spend anything.

### 2. Rapid Validation

A prototype in front of real users before the expensive half starts.

### 3. Build & Integrate

Native where native matters. Shipped from your developer account, never ours.

### 4. Optimise & Scale

We watch what people actually do with it, then cut the features nobody opened.

## Common questions

### What kind of software does Envisage Apps build?

Mobile and web platforms, and AI agents that act inside the systems you already run. Then the part most firms leave out: getting a product through App Store review, security audit and Australian regulation, and keeping it shipping once it is out. We also take on MVPs for founders still validating an idea.

### Do you build AI agents, or just add AI features to existing apps?

We build AI agents and automation — internal tools, customer-facing assistants, workflow automation — as standalone products, and we also embed AI into the UX and decision-making of the apps we build.

### We only have an idea, not a spec. Can you still help?

Yes — that's MVP and startup acceleration work: validate fast, launch faster, and avoid the cost of building the wrong thing first. We've built startups ourselves, not only for clients, so opportunity mapping and rapid validation come before any code.

### Where is Envisage Apps based, and who do you work with?

Envisage Apps is a Brisbane and Gold Coast team with 25+ years shipping products, working with founders and established businesses across Australia and globally. Many of our first clients are still using software we built for them years ago, which is the track record we point to rather than a location on a map.

### Do you build games?

No, Envisage Apps does not develop games. We build business, startup and AI products — mobile and web platforms, AI-powered applications, AI agents and automation, and startup MVPs — so if a games project lands in our inbox, we'll say so up front rather than take the fee.

## Have an idea? Let's work out what's possible.

Bring the idea, the problem or the half-built product. We'll give you a straight view of what it will take — including if the answer is that you don't need us.

- Health & medtech
- Social network
- Fintech
- Productivity tools
- Travel & lifestyle
- Transport
- Education
- Marketplace & commerce
- Sports & fitness
- Property & construction

We do not develop games.
